P&Z Public Hearing for Proposed POCD Set for June 22

The Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing for residents and other interested stakeholders to comment on the proposed 2017 City of West Haven Plan of Conservation & Development. The event will take place on Thursday, June 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Carrigan Intermediate School at 2 Tetlow St.

We encourage you to take the time to read through the draft plan and jot down any comments, questions, suggestions, ideas, or corrections. You may e-mail them to contact@planwesthaven.com in advance of the June 22 public hearing. Note: If you had any prior difficulty sending an e-mail to this address, the issue has been fixed.

Click here to download the draft POCD directly from the City’s website. The PDF file (which is 14 mb in size) will most likely open within your Web browser window. After this happens, we suggest that you download the file to your computer or other device by looking near the top right of the window and clicking on the downward pointing arrow. When the file downloads to your computer, you can open it.

Should you wish to read the document on your screen, the PDF file contains hyperlinks to facilitate clicking through the various parts of the POCD. You can also print out the document on your home or work printer. It is designed to be printed double-sided, but if you do not have this capability, one-sided printing is OK. Note that the document is more than 160 pages long.

If you have any difficulty downloading and viewing the file, e-mail contact@planwesthaven.com.

Hard copies of the plan are also available to read at the Reference Desk of the Main Library at 300 Elm Street, and in both City Clerk’s and Planning and Development offices at City Hall.
