The Savin Rock Festival is over, and the calendar has turned to August. If you’re still lingering in town this month, we would like to broaden the reach of the key questions from the Citywide Visioning Workshop held this past June through a “remote” option. Here’s how you can participate:

  1. Schedule & Invite. Invite a group of approximately 2 to 7 residents to come together to take part in the workshop anytime between now and Sunday, August 23. The group can meet at your house or apartment or anywhere else in the City. A group should consist of a total of at least 3 people, which includes you.
  2. Assign a Scribe. Assign one group member to take notes and prepare responses to the questions based on the group discussion.
  3. Reference Presentation & Map. It might be helpful to have the presentation given at the June workshop handy and to have a map of the city to reference during your discussion. Click here to download a map of the city that you can print out and/or e-mail to your group.
  4. The Questions. Spend approximately half an hour or more discussing each question:
    • Where should West Haven be 10 years from now? What do we want to have happen in West Haven by 2037?
    • What should be the priority areas and/or topics of the 2027 POCD? What areas and/or topics should be priority #1? What about priority #2, #3, and so on?
  5. Say Cheese! Take a photo of the group (optional).
  6. Send. Send us your responses to the questions, a picture of the map (if you marked it up and would like to include it along with your group’s responses), a photo of the group, and the names of the people in your group to contactus@planwesthaven.com.

If you have any questions or ideas, please use the Contact Us form.
